CordZero A9X — what you want to know

The dust emptying function isn't working. How can I fix this? +
1) Make sure the power plug is connected. 2) Make sure the vacuum is properly docked — it will beep when installed correctly. 3) If dust emptying stops, press the Start/Stop button to restart it. 4) Check the selected dust-emptying mode. For Manual mode: dock the vacuum, press the Stick Empty button. To switch between Manual and Auto: press and hold the Select Mode button for at least 3 seconds. LG states the default setting is Manual mode.
I've plugged the power in again, but the product setting initialization isn't working. What should I do? +
LG states a motor is not working properly. Unplug the power cord and contact an LG Electronics service centre.
The unit has lost power. What could be causing this? +
Check whether: 1) the power plug is fully inserted into the outlet. 2) any multi-outlet strip being used is switched on. 3) the circuit breaker has not tripped and power is available.
Why isn't my vacuum charging? +
1) Make sure the vacuum is properly installed — it should beep when placed correctly. 2) Push the auxiliary battery fully into place until its icon flashes. 3) Check that the power plug is fully inserted. 4) Unplug the unit and clean debris from the charging terminal with a dry cloth. 5) Charging may not work below 41°F/5°C — try again when the temperature rises.
What should I do if the product has a smell? +
A new vacuum may have a "new" smell that gradually disappears after around 3 months. Damp dust trapped around the mop nozzle can cause odours — remove wet dust after use before storage. Filters and the large dust separator may smell if not thoroughly dried after washing — dry in well-ventilated shade for at least 24 hours before reinstalling. Strong-smelling debris may transfer odour to the tower dust bag — replace it regularly, including before it is full if needed.
What does it mean if the Auto emptying and Auxiliary battery indicators flash at the same time? +
LG states this indicates a motor is not working properly — possibly the motor pressing the dust-bin-cover separation button, the motor opening/closing the dust-bin cover, or the motor changing airflow between STICK Emptying and ROBOT Emptying modes. Unplug the power cord and contact an LG Electronics service centre.
Why does the dust emptying notification flash red for about 10 seconds followed by a beep? +
The dust bag is full and needs to be replaced.

1) UVC LED

  • Testing by KRIBS per LG Electronics' protocol. Test dust bag model: VDS-STU. Bag filled with simulated household dust per IEC TS 62885-1 5.1 together with Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, pneumonia bacilli and Escherichia coli. Approximate bacterial concentration 10⁷ CFU/mL per organism.
  • Control samples placed at nine representative positions on top of the dust. Live bacterial counts compared after operating the UVC LED for 2 hours. Conditions: 23±2°C, 45±5% relative humidity.
  • When properly powered, the UVC LED automatically operates for approximately 2 hours within each 12-hour cycle. Actual performance may vary by environment.

2) LG ThinQ™

  • Compatible vacuum devices must be connected to Wi-Fi using the LG ThinQ™ app (Google Play/App Store). May not be compatible with older smartphone models.

3) Wide Slim Nozzle

  • LG's measurement compared this nozzle against the existing LG CordZero A9 Kompressor slim floor nozzle. The LED lighting effect shown in advertising is intended to aid understanding and may differ from actual appearance.

4) KOMPRESSOR™

  • LG test results verified by Intertek, a third-party testing organisation. Testing conducted in Turbo Mode — Maine Coon cat hair was vacuumed and manually compressed repeatedly until receptacle capacity was reached.
  • The 2.4× result was calculated by comparing compressed cat hair weight against non-compressed cat hair of the same volume. Actual receptacle capacity/compression efficiency may vary by usage conditions.

5) Dual Battery Pack™

  • Testing at 26°C/78.8°F, Wi-Fi enabled. Actual runtime can be reduced with a motorised nozzle and can vary by operating environment/hours of use.

6) Steam Power Mop

  • Steam is generated by supplying water to a steam generator heated by a heating device, then supplied directly from the outlet to the mop pads underneath the unit.
  • After attaching the Steam Power Mop, the power button can operate steam-mop-only mode or mop-only mode without suction. Dust suction and cleaning modes can be changed using the plus/minus controls and LCD display.

7) Easier Stain Removal

  • Testing by Intertek, June 2022, using an LG-specified method. Chocolate or beef oil was applied to PVC flooring and allowed to harden, then cleaned back and forth with the Steam Power Mop.
  • Pollutant-removal performance in Steam Mop Mode was compared against Mop Mode. Actual floor decontamination performance may vary by usage environment.

8) Steam Battery Pack

  • The battery can be removed from the Steam Battery Pack and charged separately only using the All-in-One Tower battery charger or compatible charging station.
