What kind of detergent should I use for my dishwasher? +
Use detergent made specifically for dishwashers rather than ordinary household detergent. Dishwasher detergent is generally available as powder, liquid or tablet — cleaning performance and dissolving speed can vary, so follow the detergent manufacturer's recommended amount based on load size and soil level.
Do I need to pre-wash my dishes before using the dishwasher? +
LG states that QuadWash™ and TrueSteam™ are designed to clean dishes thoroughly without requiring full pre-washing. Remove large food particles first, a light rinse with water can help when necessary, and load the dishes immediately afterwards.
What's the smart way to load my dishwasher? +
Bottom Basket: pots and pans (upside down), dinner plates, soup plates, dessert plates. Middle Basket: glasses, cups, saucers, wine glasses. Top Basket: teaspoons, dessert spoons, soup spoons, forks. Tilt dishes slightly so water can drain and circulate properly. If a bulky pot interferes with another rack, use the rack height-adjustment feature.
Can I wash plastic containers in my dishwasher? +
Yes, but only if the plastic is heat-resistant. Regular plastic may deform during high-temperature washing.
How can I get rid of water spots on my dishes? +
TrueSteam™ and the dishwasher's water softener can help reduce water spots. Rinse aid can also improve drying and help prevent spotting — fill the rinse-aid dispenser according to the product instructions.
What can I do about food odours after use? +
Clean the filter approximately every 1–2 weeks. To sterilize the interior, place 200–300ml of white vinegar in a shallow bowl on the top basket and run the Auto Cycle.
Can this dishwasher be installed outside of the home? +
